Why Sleeve your Waverunner Jet Ski Engine? The primary reason for sleeving a Jet Ski engine is to restore a particular bore size of a cylinder that has been damaged due to seizure or cracking and has been “bored out” to it's maximum size.

Some engine builders will also “overbore” their cylinders or install a Jet Ski Big Bore Kit to increase the engine displacement. Modern, high performance personal watercraft engines can produce substantial power. A big bore kit replaces the stock piston and cylinder bore with a larger version that provides extra displacement, increased combustion flow and lots of torque.
